Reflecting On Our Class Norms

1.

Pay Attention to teachers:

Paying attention to your teachers is an important norm because you will get a good grade. If you listen to the teacher you will get a good grade in that section of your report card in every period including specialties. For example if the teacher is giving a lesson and notices you are always paying attention then you can get a good grade out of paying attention to the teacher. (Estella)

I have also chosen the class norm pay attention to your teachers(in this case Ms. Zacconi and Mr. Lieber, or the specialty subject teachers.) When you pay attention to the teachers you always know what to do. You also can be a blue all star when you pay attention to the teachers. (Haley)

I chose respect your teachers. One reason why you should respect your teachers, first of all when you respect your teachers you will get better grades. Another reason is when you respect your teachers you will be recognized as a better student so you can go to better schools. My last reason is when you respect your teachers you will be recognized as a really good role model. (Theo)

I think Paying attention to the teacher is important. If you don´t pay attention you won´t know what to do. (LeVon)

Its important to listen to the teachers because if you do not listen to your teacher or teachers then when she is telling you what your going to do next and your not listening what will happen is that you would not know what to do and you will have to ask the teacher again and that just wastes time and if you knew what to do then you could just get straight to work.If you are talking to someone and both of you are not listening and you started talking to the person that takes time away from the other person who might be trying to listen to the teacher.Although you are distracting. Help other do the right thing.

I chose help others do the right thing. I chose this because when you help other people do the right thing you will get higher grades for helping those people. One other reason is when you help others do the right thing they will help you when you are in need. The last reason is when you help people do the right thing they will appreciate you more. (Theo)

I think helping others do the right thing is important. Helping others do the right thing is showing kindness. Also caring for the world and the people around you. Helping others do the right thing can help problems in the world, for example trash and global warming. (Imma)

Helping others doing the right thing is important because helping others do the right thing is like team.
Its very important to pay attention to the teachers because you can learn something you didn't learn. (Jesus)

Be collaborative.

I think it is important to be collaborative. If you work together you could put everyone's ideas together and make it interesting.Also,you could learn a lot from other people if you work in a group. (Maximilien)

Use appropriate language.

I think using appropriate words is the most important. One because it's not nice and hurts if you say bad words to somebody else. When you say bad words it can separate yourself from your friend. It's hard to get back together when you say a bad word. (Jonathan)

The consequences of degrading language are,you immediately go to yellow. (Zach)

Respect all.

I chose respect all. I chose this because you should respect people so one it makes everybody happier, and two people will respect you back. One more thing when people respect you you feel good about it right? Well if you do the same to other people they will feel the same thing don,t you want everybody to feel that way Too. (Theo)

I chose Respect all. It's important to respect because it's like the law of the whole world, even if its not a u.s. law. We still have to respect it and not break it. (Thommy)

Keep space clean.

I have chosen the class norm Keep our Space Clean. This class norm is super important, it may be one of the MOST important. When you keep your space clean you know where things are when you need them later because you had put them away earlier. Also you will have clean area for you to work in. (Haley)

I chose the norm keep space clean because it encompasses so many things that it is like three norms in one which is efficient.It encompasses so many things like keep the classroom clean, don't pollute,and keep materials free of germs which are all important. (Isaac)

Use materials appropriately.

We should all use materials appropriately. We should because if you drop something on the floor,like markers, someone could slip and fall. They might have to go to the nurse's office, or even the hospital. (Griffin)

Be creative.

I chose being creative. It is similar to poetry because there are no rules and you write what you want to write. That's why it's fun being creative. (Thommy)

I chose be creative. It is important to be creative because learning is more fun when you are creative. for example,last year we rapped for vocabulary and it was called flocabulary. It helped us understand the words better and have more fun. (Jack B.)

I chose everyone is creative because everyone is creative in their own way. Not just in art, but creativity can be found in building, dancing and even music! (Max)

Lets say your a really creative person, you love Art,Music and other stuff. you will probably be the person in your class that always goes the extra mile and always needs to do more. you also will probably think much deeper into questions,answers ,writing and books. (Tess)

Be kind and friendly to all.

One reason why be kind and friendly to all is important because if your are kind and friendly to all is because then people will trust you. For example if you are constantly helping people than the person you are helping will trust you. (Estella)

It's nice to be friendly because it's nice to just hear a compliment everyday. aAlso its important because we can all together be a team. (Ariana)
